Legal Aid helps Milwaukee County tenants in disputes with current or former landlords. Examples of the types of cases Legal Aid takes:
- Eviction defense (this is our primary focus in landlord tenant law)
- Security deposits
- Failure to make repairs
- Lock-outs
- Other landlord/tenant issues on a case by case basis
Our focus is on preventing homelessness through eviction defense, but anyone with landlord tenant problems should discuss their issue with a Legal Aid attorney.
